Returns & Exchanges Policy — We Sell Bags

Thank you for shopping at We Sell Bags. We want you to love your purchase, and we’re here to help if something isn’t right. This policy explains how exchanges, store credits, and damaged or defective items are handled.

We Sell Bags PTY LTD (Reg No. 2026/414526/07) is a South African online store based in Centurion, Gauteng.


30-Day Return Window

You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.

This forms part of our 30-Day Exchange Guarantee.

We do not offer cash refunds, except where required by South African consumer law. Approved returns will be processed as:

  • Exchange for another item, or
  • Store credit for the value of the item

Eligibility for Returns

To be accepted, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Unused and in original condition
  • Items must be returned in the same condition they were received
  • All tags attached
  • Original packaging included
  • No signs of wear including scratches, marks, stains, stretching, or odours
  • Dust bag included, where supplied with the item

Items that do not meet these conditions may not qualify for a full exchange or store credit.


Colour Variation Notice

Colours may appear slightly different in photos due to lighting, screen brightness, and device display settings. This is not considered a defect.

If the colour is not what you expected, you are welcome to request a return within the 30-day return window, provided the item meets all eligibility requirements.

Return courier fees for colour-related returns are the responsibility of the customer. Approved returns will be processed as an exchange or store credit.


Non-Returnable Items

  • Sale, discounted, or clearance items
  • Gift cards
  • Used or worn items
  • Items returned without original packaging, tags, or dust bags where applicable

Return Shipping Costs

Return courier costs are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Returns are handled via courier and must be arranged with our support team before sending anything back.

We recommend using a tracked courier service for returns.

If a return is requested for reasons other than a damaged or defective item, including change of mind, colour preference, or gifting, return courier costs remain the responsibility of the customer.


Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We require:

  • Clear photos of the product
  • Clear photos of the packaging
  • Your order number

Please keep all packaging until the claim is resolved.

If approved, we will arrange an exchange or store credit at no cost to you.


Missing Items or Suspected Tampering During Delivery

In the rare event that an item is missing from your order or the parcel appears tampered with on delivery, please notify us within 24–48 hours of receipt.

To investigate this with the courier, we require:

  • Clear photos of the outer packaging, including any damage or openings
  • Photos of the contents as received
  • Your order number

All missing-item claims are subject to a courier investigation to determine what occurred in transit.

Claims are assessed based on the courier investigation findings.

Once the courier investigation is finalised, we will advise on the appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement or store credit where applicable.


Exchanges

Exchanges may be offered if:

  • The item meets our return criteria
  • The replacement item is in stock

If the requested item is unavailable, a store credit will be issued instead.


Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift at checkout and shipped directly to you, you may receive a store credit for the value of the returned item once approved.

Important Notes

  • Do not return items without contacting us first — unregistered parcels may be rejected.
  • Please inspect your parcel on delivery and notify us as soon as possible if the packaging appears damaged or incomplete.
  • We recommend using a tracked courier service for all returns, as customer-arranged return shipments remain the responsibility of the sender until received by us.
  • Store credit does not expire.
